DIBELS Reading Assessment - ALL K-3 students
All kindergarten-third grade students will receive a reading assessment called “DIBELS” (pronounced dibbles). Your child may have already taken this test from a previous school, we'll still conduct the test here too.
Your child's assessment scores are excellent predictors of later reading achievement. They will also be used to identify students in need of reading intervention. New students: your homeroom teacher will contact you to set up a testing time. |
Personal Learning Assessment - ALL 3-5 grade students
This is NOT an old-school test that you remember from your high school biology class.
UTVA requests that each student in grades 3 – 5 complete the Personal Learning Assessment prior to the start of the school year. The Personal Learning Assessment is a diagnostic tool used to identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses in reading and math.
